A SHORT NOTE
The new Senior Minister for first United Methodist of St. Petersburg is going to be announced in worship today. I am so excited about him being with this great church. It will mark the start of a new day in the history of the church. Eventually, he will add his picture to the wall of the pastors of this church, but that will be after he has completed his turn here. We are a part of his beginning, and that is and should be an honor. It is significant that this announcement is on Loyalty Sunday. Not only do we declare our love for the new pastor and for each other - we will show support with our prayers, our service, and our gifts. That is being loyal.
