A NOTE FROM PASTOR MARGE
This Sunday we kick off our summer sermon series called, “Heroes.” In this series, we are going to study seven Biblical heroes that changed the course of human history as we know it, all because they chose to follow the one, true God. The stories of these heroes are evidence that a mustard seed-size faith in the infinitely powerful, promise-keeping, faithful God changes absolutely everything. The story of Elijah is incredible. Elijah is a person who demonstrated great faith during a time where all the other people of Israel were worshipping false gods. God used Elijah to draw a line in the sand with the people of Israel to ultimately say this: choose for yourself this day whom you are going to serve. Will it be the world, or will it be God because you cannot serve two masters. Nearly three thousand years later, we too are invited to pick up our shields of faith, like our brother, Elijah, and follow Jesus Christ, the one true God and the Savior of the world.
