Worship In-Person

At St. Pete First United Methodist Church, our mission is simple — to Love St. Pete. We believe that love starts with worship: gathering together, growing in faith, and sharing God’s grace with our city and beyond. Whether you’re new to church, returning after some time away, or looking for a place to belong, you’ll find a welcoming community ready to worship and serve alongside you.

Worship at St. Pete First United Methodist Church

At St. Pete First United Methodist Church, we joyfully gather each week to glorify God through inspiring worship, heartfelt music, and meaningful community.

We offer three distinct Sunday worship services, each with its own style and spirit — whether you prefer the quiet beauty of traditional liturgy or the energy of modern praise. Every service is also available to watch online, so you can worship with us wherever you are.

Throughout the year, we celebrate special musical events that highlight the incredible talents within our congregation and community — including concerts featuring our our world-class organ, one of the treasures of downtown St. Petersburg.

8:00 AM Traditional Worship

Our early Traditional Service offers a peaceful, more intimate start to your Sunday. Rooted in United Methodist liturgy, this smaller gathering features organ music, cherished hymns, and scripture-centered worship in a reflective atmosphere. While there is no choir at this hour, special soloists share inspiring music most weeks, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the service.

9:30 AM Modern Worship

Our Contemporary Service at 9:30 AM is an uplifting and energetic time of praise, led by our worship leader and live band. Together we celebrate God’s presence through modern worship music, relevant messages, and a welcoming, casual atmosphere where everyone can feel at home. It’s a joyful time of worship where hearts are lifted and faith comes alive through music and message.

11:00 AM Classic Worship

Our 11:00 AM Traditional Service combines the beauty of classic United Methodist worship with the power of music and time-honored hymns to inspire and uplift. Led by our choir, organist, and featured soloists, this larger traditional service offers a joyful, full-bodied expression of faith in a welcoming and reverent setting. It’s a time when generations come together to praise God through word, song, and fellowship.
