Pastor's Note
A NOTE FROM PASTOR BOB
Hey Friends!
It’s hard to believe but we are entering the season of Advent. I love this season because it brings back treasured memories that fill my heart with joy. Traditionally, the church celebrates four key pillars during Advent: joy, hope, peace and love. I think this is the time of year when these four pillars bring into light attributes we all need. As we begin this season it reminds us all to focus on the things of importance. How will you experience joy, hope, peace and love?
See you Sunday,
— Pastor Bob

Leader: A voice cries out:
“In the wilderness prepare the way of the LORD,
make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
People: “Then the glory of the LORD shall be revealed,
and all people shall see it together,
for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
All: Speak to us Lord.
Leader: As you promised through your prophets
Isaiah and John the Baptist,
come to us now.
People: May all the barriers be removed
so that we can receive your Word and worship you,
in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
*Hymn of Praise

*Affirmation of Faith
“Apostles’ Creed” # 881
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
Pastoral Prayer / Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
