*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH

“Apostles’ Creed” Number 881

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER / LORD'S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Pastor's Note

A NOTE FROM PASTOR BOB God continues to do so many great things here at the church! I wanted you to know Loren Russell will be joining our staff as our 9:30 AM Worship Leader. Loren brings a breadth of experience for leading worship and has a heart full for God. Loren will be joining us this coming week and will lead us on Sunday, May 21. I am so grateful for John Richardson who has faithfully led us as our interim leader this past season. John’s winsome smile and love for his work is evident. John will be remaining with us as a musician in our band and I am thrilled for this. Please take time this week to reach out to John and share your love with him and be ready to welcome Loren next week. This week we will focus on a Heart of Mercy. I can’t wait to see you Sunday and wish all those special women in our lives a Happy Mother’s Day!

— Pastor Bob
