Pastor's Note
A NOTE FROM PASTOR BOB
Hey Friends,
This week is the first week of our new sermon series Forgotten Virtues. What is a virtue? Better yet, are we living in a time when virtues are even relevant? This series will address how to bring back the virtues that are so important to our lives and faith. What are these virtues? Honor, Purity, Loyalty, Integrity and Gratitude.
The sermon this week is "Honor." Many would say our culture no longer knows how to honor others. We have lost the art of honoring one another, other people, and showing respect. What does the Scripture say about giving honor, receiving honor and giving honor its due?
— Pastor Bob

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
PASTORAL PRAYER / LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Volunteer Help Needed
A little time out of your week can make such a difference! Join us as we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we serve and Love. St. Pete.
Our Street Ministry, a 20-year partnership with St. Vincent de Paul CARES, serves the homeless in our community. Rooted in our mission to “Love St. Pete,” volunteers prepare and serve meals five nights a month. Cook Team members make nutritious meals in the FUMC Fellowship Hall, while Serve Team members feed 100 guests per night. Most people volunteer to either cook or serve one night per month. The time commitment is usually less than 90 minutes. If you'd like to support this impactful ministry, contact Bruce Haselden at behaselden@gmail.com.
