Pastor's Note
A NOTE FROM PASTOR CAREY
What are some things that make you angry? When someone cuts you off in traffic? When you stub your toe? When you order a Diet Coke at a restaurant and the server asks, "Is Pepsi okay?" Maybe one of those lighthearted examples hits home, but maybe there are things in your life that make you truly angry. Maybe you're angry because you or someone you love has been mistreated. Maybe you're angered by the injustices you see in our world. Or maybe you're still holding on to anger over something that happened years ago and, for whatever reason, you can't seem to let it go. I've heard it said that "Christians don't get angry," but if we're honest, anger is an emotion that we as Christ followers know all too well.
As we wrap up our Confronting Zone series, we'll talk about why it's important to confront our anger rather than pretend it isn't there. We'll discover through Scripture that anger itself is not the problem—it's what we do with our anger that matters. In Christ's example, we see that anger can be transformed into love and justice.
See you Sunday,
Pastor Carey
