Pastor's Note
A NOTE FROM PASTOR BOB
Hey Friends,
One of the things I love about attending Annual Conference is the session with my clergy brothers and sisters. It's a time for us to "go about the business of the church" but also to be reminded of our connection with one another. Through the years I have had the awesome privilege to serve with so many men and women who have lived into their call by God to be pastors. Each one of them brings something special to the church they serve as well as the universal church. The part I cherish most is when we all join in to sing an opening hymn of our clergy session. Hundreds of voices all in unison (and unlike your pastor, they sing on key!).
What a wonderful church we have indeed!
— Pastor Bob

God of grace, you sent the promised gift of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles and the women, upon Mary the mother of Jesus, and upon His brothers. Fill our church with Your power, kindle flaming hearts within us, and cause us to proclaim Your mighty works in every tongue, that all may call on You and be saved. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
“Apostles’ Creed” # 881
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER / LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
