In John 11:4, Jesus states that "Lazarus's sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this." Even as Jesus says this about Lazarus, He knows He is talking about His own resurrection also. In verse 11:25, Jesus actually responds to Lazarus's situation by stating to Martha, "I am the resurrection and the life." In chapter 17, verse 5, Jesus prays, "Now, Father, bring Me into the glory We shared before the world began." In verse 25 Jesus says, "I have revealed You to them, and I will continue to do so. Then Your love for Me will be in them and I will be in them."
Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for the crucifixion and Your resurrection. May we realize daily what You did for us. We are totally dependent on You, our Lord and Savior.
