A Lenten Prayer

by Lora Ulrich, Director of Children's Ministries

Dear Heavenly Father,

As You invite us deeper into Your world this season, may it be one of outward focus; help us seek You in those we often ignore. Help us live this time focused on generosity. Give us hearts hungry to serve you and those who need what we have to give. During this time of repentance and mercy help us to turn from our human ways of judgement, discontent, anger, negativity, bitterness and self-concern and instead focus on Christ dwelling in others, gratitude, patience, encouragement, forgiveness and compassion for others. Guide us to the path that leads to a deeper relationship with You as we listen for Your voice each day.

In Your name we pray,

Amen
