A SHORT NOTE
When you are an Interim-Pastor you know the starting date and the ending date of your ministry in the church. My time as Interim-Pastor started the first of August and ends as of today. It has been an honor and privilege to serve First United Methodist Church of St. Petersburg. I loved working with Pastor Margaret and all the rest of the staff. I have been made to feel a part of this church family by the members of the church and have been very impressed by the lay leadership of the church. In fact, I have fallen in love with these people, this place, and this church. I am thankful to the Lord for how the Holy Spirit is moving in the church and it excites me to think of the future and where He is going to take FUMC. And I thank FUMC for all the kindness and Christian love shown to me and Patty. We are better people because of all that has taken place.
Now our prayers are for Pastor Bob and his Patti as they come to take their place. May the Lord bless and keep all of you. As you go to the new day, and I think it is going to be a great day. Or as a friend of mine would say, “It’s going to be a Blue Bird Day.” And that’s the truth. Amen.
